CIMENTART MICROCEMENT
CIMENTART - Bi-COMPONENT
POLYURETHANE
The CIMENTART Bi-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE is a waterproof coating, made of aliphatic polyurethanes, with high resistance to washing and weathering (Comp A) and an aliphatic isocyanate without solvents (Comp B), recommended to be used over the Microcement coatings, concrete, printed concrete, polished cement and wood.
With the application of the CIMENTART Bi-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE, you achieve:
rotection of the microcement coating, cement and wood.
· Enhancement of aesthetic finishes.
· Three different sheens: satin, matte and glossy.
· Increased resistance to abrasion.
· Complete waterproofing of the surface.
· Allows cleaning the surface where is applied with any type of chemical product.
· Resistant to chlorhydric acid.

USE INSTRUCTIONS
In absorbing surfaces, apply previously a layer of CIMENTART Sealer.
Mix the two components, using an electric mixer, until you get a perfect homogeneous mixture. Is done using the following proportions: 5 parts of Polyurethane (component A) to 1 part of Hardener (component B). It is important to mix completely the two components to avoid the appearance of areas of different grades of gloss due to a deficient dispersion of the two components. Mix small amounts that can be used within the hour as it will harden once mixe.
To achieve an extra hardness and resistance to scratching, especially on pavements with heavy traffic of people or greater wear, you can make the mixture in the following proportions: 4 parts of Polyurethane (component A) for 1 part of Hardener (component B)
After the correct mixing is done you should filter the mixing using a metallic strainer.
Once the mixing is filtered if you notice the formation of small bubbles, you should wait 5 minutes before you start the application.
Apply one layer, in an orderly way without stretching to much the product, ensuring that no area is left uncovered, and without excesses, creating a layer of the thickness of a sheet of paper. Cover very well all the areas with water contact and the joints where the water can penetrate.
In vertical areas make sure that the product doesn’t not creates drips. Use the roller to fix the situation.
Too thick a layer can produce:
– The product drips (in walls).
– A too slow drying time.
– Decreased hardness due to excess of product. Remember that the recommended amount of product (once soaked in the roller), by m2 is 60 to 80 g.
Apply a second layer exactly like the first. In areas with water contact, we recommend to apply 3 layers.
Before the application of the second layer of CIMENTART Bi-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE, make sure that the first layer is completely dry, approximately 8 to 12 hours, depending of the site ventilation and temperature.
Calk at any change of materials (drains, windows, tiles) after applying the final coat of the product.
This product needs good ventilation in the room where it is applied.
The pot time of the product once mixed is about 1 hour, after that you will notice an increased viscosity and the hardener properties will be lost. Is recommended to use the mixed product in less than 1 hour.
The drying time before use the surface is minimum 72 hours. The minimum time of wait before put the surface in contact with water is 1 week.
The product is presented ready to use, we do not advise its dilution, which would cause loss of properties of hardness and waterproofing.
Apply directly with a knit varnish roller (not foam), a brush or an airless system over a dust free surface. We recommend brushing the surface after apply the product to remove possible air bubbles, especially on very hot, dry and highly ventilated sites.
Clean all tools with water.
DRYING TIMES
The drying of the CIMENTART bi-component polyurethane depends on the temperature, ventilation and humidity.
| TEMPERATURE | HUMIDITY | DRYING TIME (APPROX.) |
| 95 ºF (35ºC) | 40% | 10 to 12 hours |
| 95 ºF (35ºC) | 10% | 8 to 12 hours |
| 68 ºF (20ºC) | 40% | 8 to 10 hours |

| 41 ºF (5ºC) | 40% | 20 to 25 hours |
| 41 ºF (5ºC) | 10% | 15 to 20 hours |
ULTRA VIOLET RAY RESISTANCE
CIMENTART bi-component polyurethane is an aliphatic product. It is completely resistant to the action of UV rays and does not yellow if exterior.

EFFICIENCY
With 1 liter of CIMENTART Bi-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE, you can cover approximately 150 to 200 ft2 (15 to 20 m2) of surface per layer, depending on the absorption of the substrate and the thickness of the applied layer.
We recommend 2 layers on surfaces with normal contact with water and 3 layers on surfaces with contact with water or humidity (exterior surfaces, showers, countertops, etc.)
RECOMMENDED FINISHES
Floors: we recommend, without exception, that you apply on interior and exterior floors, the CIMENTART Bi-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE SATIN or GLOSSY, for a better cleaning of the surface. The Matte floor often gives customers the impression of being not-finished, old or dirty.
Walls: In walls and ceilings, you can apply any of the 3 available finishes: Satin, Matte or Glossy, according to the customer choice.

RECOMENDATIONS
Do not dilute the product with water or solvents.
Never apply the product on substrates that are wet, damp or have capillary moisture. Do not apply the product if there is a humidity in the environment of more than 50%.
Do not apply in layers greater than 0.1 mm (1 micron). Respect the recommended drying times. Good ventilation is necessary in the rooms where it is applied.
Do not apply with risk of frost or rainy weather. Do not apply at temperatures below 41ºF (5ºC) or above 95ºF (35ºC).
Never leave any of the layers in half, once the application is started, continue until its completion without stopping so you do not see cuts, seams or joints. If the surface is very large, several people must make the application at the same time.
Protect floors with protective felts on the bottom of furniture, chairs and tables legs.
Never drag furniture or other objects and protect the floor if you are going to carry out other construction work on the floor or room.
Merchandise considered not dangerous in matters of transport. It is water based, free of solvents, alcohols or flammable products.
Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (‘PPE’). Do not place within reach of children, avoid contact with eyes and skin through appropriate PPE. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult your doctor in case of subsequent discomfort.
Once the application is finished, let it dry completely and let it cure for at least 4 days before doing other types of work and 7 days before moistening or receiving water. Product will continue to harden for 28 days.
