The CIMENTART Metallic Sealer can be applied to floors, walls and ceilings. Its use can be used both indoors and outdoors, in vertical walls and pavements. In order to be visible metallic effects, it is recommended that it be applied in areas with good natural or artificial lighting.  

The CIMENTART Metallic Sealer, being a decorative product of final finish, is applied in thin layers, therefore we need to have the surfaces already regularized, sanded if necessary and completely clean and vacuumed.  

In any case and to guarantee a good adhesion, we always start applying a layer of CIMENTART Primer.  

On floors or walls of tiles it is necessary to regularize the substrates with CIMENTART base microcements and later completely sand the surface with 40 – 60 grit and vacuum the dust well and then to apply two layers of CIMENTART Fine Microcement. On completely smooth walls (like plaster) you can apply directly from two to three layers of CIMENTART Fine Microcement CIMENTART. Once the CIMENTART Fine Microcement is applied, it is sanded lightly with 180 grit (or higher) and we will start the application of the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer.

CIMENTART Metallic Sealer should be applied to the CIMENTART Fine Microcement after it is completely dry, sanded and vacuumed.

The application of the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer will always be made on the CIMENTART Fine Microcement with a steel trowel or sponge.  

Open the container of the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer and stir well with a spatula until completely homogenized. Apply 2 to 3 layers as needed with a maximum thickness of 0.1 mm each layer(less than a sheet of paper) to obtain the desired continuous finish.  

The thickness of 0.1 mm is achieved by applying the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer with the 45° inclined steel trowel. It is important not to leave a layer thicker than 0.1 mm to obtain a completely smooth finish.

Whether the application is made with steel trowel or sponge, the application of all layers should be done with short and semicircular movements.  

Each applied layer should be uniform and smooth. If necessary, the first coat of CIMENTART Metallic Sealer may be sanded with 150 grit sandpaper/screens can be applied to the surface and thoroughly cleaned before applying the next coat.  

The last and final applied coat of CIMENTART Metallic Sealer must be completely smooth and never sanded.

METALIC SEALER CIMENTART COMPLETE WATERPROOFING CIMENTART Metallic Sealer is a product that has a certain impermeability. On interior walls that do not have contact with water, it is not necessary to apply polyurethane over the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer.  

However, for the final finishing of façades, floors, showers and / or areas that may have contact with water, apply the CIMENTART bi-component polyurethane Glossy over the metallic sealer, a polyurethane-based coating ideal for finishing, complete sealing, protection and total waterproofing of the substrates where the CIMENTART Products are applied.

CIMENTART polyurethane Glossy is a two-component product. It is necessary to mix them in a proportion of 5 parts of Component A and 1 part of component B, stir well the mixture of the two components for several minutes and then the application can begin, which will be done in thin layers with a roll of short hair or Airless spray gun It is applied in an orderly way without overextending or stretching the product, making sure that there is no uncovered area, leaving no puddles, combing the surface well to remove the microbubbles.  

The required layer is similar to the thickness of a sheet of paper. To obtain the best result and smooth finish, never apply a thickness greater than 0.1 mm.

Silicone caulk drainage areas or joints where water can penetrate, especially between materials that expand/contract differently like windows and drains.  

Once the first layer has completely dried (usually 8 to 12 hours, depending on the temperature and ventilation), apply a second layer of CIMENTART bi-component polyurethane Glossy exactly the same as the first one.

The cleaning of all tools used in all products is done with water. 

· Do not apply with risk of frost or rainy weather. Do not apply below 41° F (5° C) or above 95°F (35° C).  

· In surfaces that have capillary moisture, the Microcement application and the CIMENTART Metallic Sealer are not recommended.  

· CIMENTART Metallic contains a large number of micronized metal particles. These micro particles can cause fine scratches while you are performing the application.  

· Wear appropriate PPE, eyes can be irritated. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation develops.

· Containers of 1.1 LBS (.5 KG) – approx. 75 ft2 of 2 coats or 150 ft2 of 1 coat. 

· 2.2 LBS. (1 KG) – approximately 150 ft2 of 2 coats or 300 ft2 of 1 coat. (approximate yield per layer is 30 – 40 g / 10 sq ft / 0.1 mm layer)

12 months, in a dry place protected from the elements in its original sealed container.
